Job Description

Reports to: Head of Department – Partner Support Services or as designated

Appointment: On contractual basis (renewable on yearly basis subject to performance)

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement an overall communications and media strategy plan to ensure visibility of the Organization in the print and online media
  • Develop and implement specific PR programs, campaigns and media relation strategies in line with programmatic / organizational needs
  • Create and update promotional material and publications (brochures, videos, social media posts) edit
  • Develop press releases, organize press briefings and news conferences, attend or set up exhibitions and conferences as per organizational demand / requirement.
  • Arrange interviews with journalists, preparation and distribution of news releases and issue statements to the media.
  • Manage new programme / project launches
  • Keep an eye on public opinion / trends in the social development sector and relevant issues
  • Manage the PR issues of the Organization; advise management on communication issues and strategies.
  • Developing and implementing communication strategies for leveraging social media for Ci visibility and generating resources
  • Submission of PR Reports

Qualification: Master’s Degree in Social Work /English Literature / Journalism / Mass Communications with relevant work experience

Salary :
Consolidated payment of INR 30,000/- to 35,000/- p.m

Role :
1. Responsible for developing and organizing PR and Communication activities for the Organization and ensure effective communications with all stakeholders, media and the public. 2. Effectively using the social media as PR platform for generating visibility, creating brand, resources and influencing stakeholders for the Organization

Location :
CI Head Office, Delhi

Experience :
Minimum 3 - 5 years of work experience in developing and organizing PR and communication activities, preferably in the social development sector

KeySkills :
Understanding of the Social Development Sector and emerging trends / issues
Added knowledge of programme planning |design development and management
Experience of working with local NGOs/INGOs and government bodies would be an advantage
Knowledge of and experience with media production | communication | dissemination techniques and methods
Knowledge of engaging with the media via written | oral | visual communication
Ability to communicate and represent the Organization to external customers | public | government and other external sources
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Dynamic
self-motivated and ability to work independently
Strong understanding of social media as a PR tool. Proficiency in MS Office (Word |PowerPoint | Excel | Outlook)
Excellent writing | communication and presentation skills | proficiency in English and Hindi
Willing to travel
