This Christmas Caritas India brings out an opportunity to show RAHAM and to be a Samaritan to our fellow human beings, who are most affected during any natural or man-made disaster. Christmas is a time of spreading joy and warmth, the small act of mercy through this opportunity will go miles in the lives of the most vulnerable who are deprived of the joy of any festival.

Jannabi Das, Indian Idol fame and an upcoming playback singer released her first single “RAHAM” on all audio music stores. Along with being a star musician, she has also journeyed along with Caritas India since 2018 as a proud Caritas Samaritan. Her continuous contribution and support as a volunteer to Caritas India since her association has been valuable and encouraging. The current pandemic of COVID19 was one of the biggest natural calamities seen by this generation. The severity around the pandemic made everybody realise that how a disaster can stop the ongoing life and make all very helpless. This urged Jannabi and her team to further strengthen this initiative. She released the song on all music stores. Through the strong network of her followers, she reached out to masses to stream and download the song regularly as every click on the song helped to generate resources. Jannabi has pledged to donate the complete funds generated via downloading and streaming to be donated to Caritas India towards the disaster affected.

Unlike other music albums and singles, RAHAM has a special appeal. It is an appeal to society to create a pool of resources, which could be used to support the families affected by the disaster. To intensify her appeal and amplify her call to be the messengers of God on this planet, Caritas India is supporting her by unveiling “RAHAM Donation”.

RAHAM Donation is a pocket-friendly donation option available on Caritas India website. This donation option is a monthly contribution towards disaster affected. The donation slabs begin from Rs 500, Rs 1000, Rs 1500, Rs 2000. Each slab caters a particular element of any disaster response. Caritas India during its disaster response caters to the most vulnerable and the people displaced from their homes as an effect of the disaster.

Apart from being a pocket-friendly donation model is also hassle-free for every donor, as each donor shall be able to choose until when they are willing to donate. The amount committed shall be deducted from the donor’s bank account and the receipt shall be generated at the completion of the donation. As Ms. Jannabi pledged the income generated via streaming and download towards the same cause, she is requesting the same commitment from her fans. She appeals to every person to commit a meagre amount of your monthly earning towards RAHAM.
