Caritas India conferred with ALERT Being Award 2021

Caritas India has been conferred with ALERT Being Award 2021 by ALERT under the special category for being committed to preserve the dignity and sacredness of human personality.

The award was presented by Dr.J.Radhakrishnan, IAS, Health Secretary, Government of Tamilnadu to Fr. Paul Moonjely, Executive Director, Caritas India in a grand ceremony held in Chennai on 25th March.

ALERT Being Awards is a signature event of ALERT that honours humanity. In its 5th edition this year, the award celebrates Good Samaritans across categories such as individuals, organizations and people going beyond call of duty.

Fr. Paul Moonjely expressed with humbleness and honoured by this great gesture of conferring the ALERT Being Award 2021 for Organization in the Special Category to Caritas India for the humanitarian and development efforts. He further appreciated the great services rendered by ALERT and expressed continued association with ALERT.

 ALERT is a NGO that has been working tirelessly since 2006 to improve the emergency care eco-system in our country to Save lives. Its core objective is to evangelize Golden hour care & Emergency response and ensure every victim gets help on time. With the state-of-the-art Simulation Lab facility (India’s 1st for a common man) and alert VoICE (Volunteer In Case of Emergency), a community-driven, mobile based first response network, ALERT is in constant pursuit of the goal given to it by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, “to train one in every family in emergency response” and have empowered over 1.6+ Lakh citizens across the country till date.
