Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Foreign Currency Transactions: Ensure all foreign currency-related payment and receipt voucher entries are accurately made and maintain files in compliance with FCRA regulations.
  • Account Accuracy: Verify the correct allocation of accounts and maintain proper files.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Prepare and ensure monthly bank reconciliation is completed.
  • Documentation & Settlements: Oversee proper documentation for settlements, loans, and other financial activities related to PF and GF.
  • PF/GF Accounting: Manage PF and GF accounting processes and finalize records.
  • Investments Compliance: Ensure all PF and GF investments comply with statutory laws.
  • Staff TDS Management: Calculate staff TDS, manage documents and declarations, and ensure quarterly filing with the Income Tax Department.
  • Fixed Assets Management: Oversee acquisition and disposal of fixed assets, ensuring all documents and quotations comply with statutory regulations.
  • Finance Reporting: Review and correct monthly finance reports to align with budgetary figures.
  • Income Tax Assessment: Handle income tax assessment-related work as needed.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform any other tasks related to finance as assigned based on program and organizational needs.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • FCRA Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Donor Regulations: Familiarity with donor regulations and best practices for managing donor funds.
  • Accounting Expertise: Strong accounting knowledge with the ability to monitor budgets and expenses effectively.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Excellent skills in reporting and documentation to ensure accuracy and clarity in financial records.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to regular review and incorporation of new learnings in financial management to enhance skills and practices.
  • Tally 9 Proficiency: Proficiency in Tally 9 software for financial management and reporting.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for efficient task execution and reporting.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to develop and maintain congenial and professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Function Area :
To support Lead - Admin Finance by providing correct accounting and in keeping up the good will and credibility of the Organization to the Funding Partners by ensuring all legal compliance are adhered to including TDS calculations, TDS returns, and depreciation calculations are being done as per statutory norms.
