The Sundarbans Resilience Project empowers vulnerable communities in the Bay of Bengal’s Sundarbans, a biodiversity hotspot facing severe climate change impacts. Rising sea levels, increasing cyclone intensity, and salinity intrusion have devastated local livelihoods and agriculture. This project focuses on climate-resilient development, sustainable agriculture, and nature-based livelihood options to build economic security. Through skill-based training and community capacity building in 10 Gram Panchayats, the initiative aims to promote sustainable livelihoods, disaster risk reduction, and resilience for 20,000 people, with special support for women, youth, and marginalized groups.
