About the Role
The Program Extension Associate will support field-level implementation of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Community-Based Flood Early Warning Systems (CBFEWS). The role involves facilitating stakeholder coordination, community engagement, primary data collection, and
monitoring of project activities. The position will ensure effective implementation of interventions while promoting Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) and strengthening community ownership.
Job Profile
• Prepare inception, progress, monitoring, and final project reports in line with agreed timelines and formats.
• Develop workshop reports, technical briefs, and project documentation materials.
• Document best practices, lessons learned, success stories, and case studies.
• Maintain and regularly update the project documentation and knowledge repository.
• Compile, organize, and manage datasets received from field teams for reporting and analysis.
• Develop communication materials including briefs, summaries, newsletters, and policy notes.
• Ensure quality assurance, consistency, and integration of GESI considerations in all reports and documentation.
• Support coordination with programme and field teams to ensure timely submission of information and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to organizational safeguarding and Code of Conduct policies.

• Quarterly and semi-annual technical reports
• Knowledge products and documented case studies
• Donor-ready narrative reports and communication materials
• Organized and updated project documentation archive
Qualifications & Requirements
• Graduate degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Disaster Management, Environmental Studies, Sociology, or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in documentation, reporting, knowledge management, or communication in DRR, climate adaptation, humanitarian assistance, or development sector projects.
• Proven experience in drafting donor reports, case studies, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical and writing skills in English; knowledge of Hindi/local language preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic data handling skills.
• Ability to synthesize field data into structured narrative reports.
• Willingness and commitment to undertake field visits for documentation.
