He holds a Doctorate in Canon Law from Rome, a Master’s Degree in Human Rights, and a Diploma in Jurisprudence from Westminster, London. A published scholar, he has authored books and contributed to national and international journals. Recognised as an educator and mentor, he is known for ethical leadership and strategic clarity.
As Chairman, he guides Caritas India’s work in social justice, human dignity, community empowerment, and sustainable development, strengthening partnerships and accountability across its nationwide initiatives.

Benny Edayath (Sebastian), Assistant Executive Director of Caritas India, brings over two decades of leadership in pastoral, legal, and social development roles. He has served as Executive Director of Shreyas for six years, leading impactful grassroots programs.
With a postgraduation in social work and an LL.B., he merges empathy with legal acumen. His experience spans 26 parishes, diocesan administration, and orphanage leadership. His leadership span across varied social development fields like education, justice, and social transformation.
M. Julian Fernando, the Administrator of Caritas India, brings over two decades of dedicated service to marginalised communities. He holds degrees in philosophy, history, and social work anchoring his leadership in both reflection and action.
His experience spans prison ministry, disability inclusion, and grassroots development. As Director of CBR programs in Uttar Pradesh and Manager of Amar Vani School for the Hearing-Impaired, he championed dignity and accessibility. Since 2018, he has led the Diocesan Social Welfare Society with integrity and compassion.
