ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION

11-22 APRIL, 2019

THEME: PROTECT OUR SPECIES

Winners receive E-Certificates of participation and eco-friendly gifts as 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes

Caritas India in association with Earth Day Network India is organising national level earth day essay writing competition between 11-22 April, 2019.  The theme of the competition will be “Protect our species”. The core purpose of conducting this school level essay writing competition on the theme, Protect our species is to build awareness about the need to protect our species and conserve the habitat of species, among the children and youth.

Eligibility:

Open to all students enrolled in any schools in India.

Age criteria: 10-14 and 15-18 years

Guidelines for submission:

  1. Entries must be typewritten/handwritten and shall not exceed the 1000-1500 word limit (excluding footnotes)
  2. The participants must submit the file in *.doc/.docx/.pdf/.jpeg/.png format to “chiani@caritasindia.org” in the stipulated period
  3. Co-authorship is not allowed
  4. The content should be the original work of participants and should have not been given to any other competition or for any publication

Judgment will be based on the following parameters:

  1. Content
  2. Uniqueness
  3. Quality of language

(*Decisions of the judges will be binding to all)

Submission Procedure & Deadline:

  1. Article must be submitted at chiani@caritasindia.org
  2. Last date of submission of Article: 25 April, 2019

Note:

  1. Winning essay and picture will be put up on the website of Caritas India and Earth Day Network with consent of the titleholder for one month from the date of result declaration
  2. E-Certificate of participation will be given to all the participants
