Course Description:

Organization Development Process (ODP) is a process of strategic decision-making and implementation of those decisions for the development of the organization on a set of key organizational issues such as purpose (Vision and Mission), leadership, staffing, programs, structure, systems, culture, finances and overall organisational environment (management and existence). Caritas India under the Caritas India Development Learning and Action (CIDAL) has planned many Modules and Organisation Development Module is one such module.

The organizational development process is an action-oriented organisational assessment designed to understand known and potential Challenges, problems, set measurable goals, Plan, implement changes, and analyse results. The decisions for the above key Organisational issues are made by key stakeholders of the organization and are preceded by a systematic assessment of 1) the context and situation of the people the organization aims to serve; 2) internal strength and weakness of the organization; and 3) external opportunities and threats. Every Organization needs to undergo an Organisational Development process to ensure that it is relevant, vibrant, effective, efficient, and sustainable. Hence, the top management of the organisation need to lead such initiative and in order to do so, knowledge and skill on ODP are required.

Course Highlights:

  1. A certificate will be provided to each participant after the training
  2. The training will be participatory in nature
  3. Resources materials for reading and template for exercises will be provided

Why should you apply for the course?

ODP training will give the trainees the knowledge and skill required for spearheading and or conducting Organisational Development Processes for organisation.  Sharing of various cases of good practices and exercises the trainees will acquire skills for leading/initiating OD Processes.

Who can apply for the course?

This course should be attended by those heading the Organization (in governance or management) or in senior management positions.

How will your training work?

The Course will be through lecture, break out group work, ppt presentation, discussion, plenary etc. good practice sharing with a short break after every session of 1 to 1 and half hours.

Duration of the course

October 25-27, 2021 (The training will be for 3 days for 6- 7 hours per day)

Course Venue: Don Bosco Provincial House, Matunga East, Mumbai.

Trainer’s profile

Khilesh Chaturvedi is a freelance Advisor to Civil Society Organizations working for the rights of the marginalized. He is a facilitator, Trainer and Evaluator. He has been working for the last 33 years in the Civil Society sector with the grassroots, intermediary and international organizations and for the last 27 years as a trainer and evaluator. His core experience is in designing and conducting customized process-oriented training/facilitation and evaluation processes.
