“RAHAM” releases on music audio stores

Ms Jannabi Das a young upcoming playback singer, Indian Idol 11 finalist have been associated with Caritas India as a Caritas Samaritan since December 2018. As part of her first volunteering act, she gifted her first original song – “RAHAM” to Caritas India. RAHAM is a medium to support Caritas India to reach out to individuals to render their support in terms of volunteering and contributions to amplify their response during any disaster. “RAHAM = Mercy”, the song is an appeal to humanity to be the messenger of God by reaching out to the people who suffer due to natural calamities.

The inception of the idea happened after Nepal earthquake in 2015. Jannabi and her friends were deeply affected by the mass destruction of lives and property caused. As any other human being, they also wanted to contribute to support the victims but due to their own limitations, they could not support beyond a point. Since their passion to support was so strong that the hurdle of lack of funds could not stop them. It is then they decided to reach out other fellow musicians to collaborate with them to create a song of mercy, with an intention to make a mercy call to humanity, to join by contributing their small bit. Each individual donating a small amount will result in a pool of funds which shall be used to reach out to the affected during any forthcoming disaster.

The current pandemic of COVID19 was one of the biggest natural calamities seen by this generation. The severity around the pandemic made all of us realise that how a disaster can stop our ongoing life and leave us all helpless. This intensified the urge Jannabi and her team had to support the humanity, to prepare them for any future calamity, with this strong intent and message the song was released on more than 250+ music audio stores on 19^th August 2020 in association with Caritas India, RED FM, Bhallo Collective and Reyank Tech.
