Virtual Induction & Orientation Program for CI new employees

The induction and orientation of new employees as also mandated by Caritas India HR Policy continues to be given due importance. These critical processes conducted at the initial stages of the journey of an employee with a new organization helps in making the newcomers feel welcome and also aids in making them ready for their job. It also aims at assimilating the fresh recruits into the Organization’s workplace and its culture.

Keeping the same practice in view, a full three (3) days virtual induction and orientation programme had been organized for new staff joining Caritas India during the second wave lockdown. Through a blend of PPT based and interactive sessions, participants were imparted information on the overview of Caritas India’s history, organization structure and programmes covering the six main thematic sectors that CI works in among the most marginalized and vulnerable communities.

The staff were also acquainted with thorough sessions on the Catholic Social Teachings besides CI’s organisational values, principles, policies and culture.

Fr. Paul, Executive Director, Fr (Dr.) Jolly, AED, and Fr. Sushil, Administrator inaugurated the induction programme on 28 June 2021. Fr. Paul in his address emphasised on the importance of having and honing professional skills while also ensuring that we become human beings in the process of delivering service to the organization and communities at large. Fr Jolly spoke on the Management’s expectations from the new staff including to see long innings of the new staff with Caritas India. On the concluding day, Fr Sushil reiterated that the new staff were in the CI Family on account of their skills and merit and that they should display it in their work and behaviour.

This programme was organized and conducted through in-house resources with the involvement of various Leads and Associates across functions and programmes. A similar programme was also held in April 2021.

Wishing all the recently joined new members of CI Family a successful career with us!
