At Caritas India, children are at the heart of our mission. Our initiative, ‘SurokhitShaishav’ – Promoting Safe Childhood Phase II, is dedicated to ensuring their safety, education, and empowerment across 10 districts in West Bengal, Assam, and Uttar Pradesh.

Our aim is to abolish child labor, marriage, and trafficking by establishing effective child protection systems and promoting children’s rights to education and inclusive development. With a population of 184,646 individuals across these states, our program seeks to improve the implementation of child-centric government policies and reduce vulnerabilities to all forms of violence. Through capacity-building, community empowerment, and strategic alliances, we’re fostering a society where every child’s rights are upheld and cherished. Join us in creating a safer, more equitable future for our children.
