The FARM Northeast program, led by Caritas India and 16 partners, empowers smallholder farmers across seven northeastern states to build resilient, sustainable agricultural systems.
It promotes community-led actions, integrated farming, and climate-adaptive practices tailored to the region’s diverse agro-climatic zones. Special focus is given to vulnerable groups like women, widows, persons with disabilities, and landless families. By encouraging volunteerism, fostering partnerships, and strengthening market linkages, FARM Northeast revitalizes traditional socio-economic and governance systems while complementing government efforts to promote climate-resilient, inclusive, and sustainable rural development.
