Caritas India’s CCIMMS Phase II project aims to combat unsafe migration and modern slavery by promoting climate adaptation practices in the vulnerable Sundarbans region. Spanning 20 villages in Mousuni and Dariknagar gram panchayats, this 18-month initiative empowers over 2,500 vulnerable families through sustainable livelihoods, safe migration protocols, and community-led climate action plans. Supported by a £20,000 grant, the program strengthens water governance, fosters innovation, and enhances policy dialogue. Building on Phase I, this project reaffirms Caritas India’s commitment to climate justice, resilience, and dignity for marginalized communities.
