In 2024, Caritas India implemented a multi-sectoral humanitarian response in Manipur, reaching 1,164 households (5,223 individuals) affected by severe hailstorms, with focused support provided to 729 households in Imphal East and West. Based on needs assessments and community feedback, the intervention delivered shelter and essential items to 475 households, provided multipurpose financial assistance to 689 households, and extended targeted protection services for vulnerable groups. The response addressed immediate humanitarian needs while strengthening long-term recovery and resilience against violence and exploitation.
