Social Inclusion
The objective is inclusion of marginalised communities in social development programme and decision-making process at different levels of governance. Through Social inclusion the aim is to strengthen the democratic system improve social cohesion and inclusion of marginalized groups at village, block and district level.
Strengthen capacities by means of education and training to improve the quality of the participation of representatives of vulnerable communities in decision making and in supervisory bodies at local, district and state levels.
The programme attempts to influence the quality of services provided by frontline workers from the different government schemes e.g. teachers, nurses, influence decisions made by the local governance structure and by the different departments with authority and resources to implement the schemes.
What we’re doing
Public Campaign for Social Participation
(Quarterly campaign for increasing social participation of marginalised communities in local governance. Observing various days to bring community, children on upfront in the society. Focusing on issues related to child and mother nutrition, child labour and marriages and elementary education through public campaign.
Capacitating representatives from marginalised communities
Elected representatives from marginalised is being capacitated on their roles and responsibility to raise the voice and incorporating their demands for inclusive development.
Learning Support Centres
(Establishment of learning centres for dropout children or don’t have access to schools. Two hours physical classes will be facilitated by the volunteers on daily basis. Total 75 learning centres will be established in five districts. Formation of children club. children clubs will be established in each village through a participatory approach in consultation with children and other stakeholders, including parents, community members and local government officials.The child clubs will be a vital part of developing the approach and contribute towards eradication of child development agenda)
Learning Exchange Programme
(Through exchanges and cooperation between the various commissions for the protection of minorities provided for in the Constitution (SC Commission, Mahadalit Commission, ST, Women and Minority Commission) and civil society actors, initiatives and networks in the project area, marginalised groups have improved access to government support programmes.)
